Publiqué, entre otros, en las revistas Gente, Rico tipo, El gráfico, Humor Registrado, Avivato, Tía Vicenta, Satiricón, Goles, Radiolandia 2000, Playboy -argentina, de USA y española -, Anteojito y Antifaz, Billiken, y en los diarios El mundo, La Prensa, Diario Popular,Crónica,Gazeta y otros del interior de Argentina, y en diarios y revistas de América y Europa, como El Batracio Amarillo y La Kodorniz. Gané la medalla de oro en el Salón de Dibujantes de la Argentina en 1966 y el primer premio en Trento, en 1990. Realicé muchísimas muestras colectivas, y dos individuales, en Santa Fe y en Fancomix. Además de participar en muchísimos salones internacionales de todo el planeta. Soy antes que nada humorista, por vocación filosófica, y porque no se hacer otra maldita cosa, que dibujar y escribir, sobre todo humor, parte de hacerlo por radio. También enseño dibujo, en el Museo de la Caricatura Severo Vaccaro y en la Casa de la Cultura de Ramos Mejía. No hay remedio por la melancolía... Existen lo que los franceces dicen "Les petit mort cotidien", las pequeñas muertes cotidianas... un amigo que se muda, un perro que se te muere, una cana que te aparece, otra arruga en tu madre... te mudas a otro lugar... un vaso que se te rompe... algo que olvidas... todos los días tenemos varias de esas muertes. Descartes dijo que el hombre es un animal enfermo de muerte, porque es el único animal que sabe que va a morir. y desde que tomamos conciencia de eso, todo lo que hacemos después, es para tratar de impedirlo, o al menos de atenuarlo. Tenemos hijos, nos hacemos famosos, ganamos millones -no es mi caso -nos hacemos emperadores, nos sacamos fotos, filmamos a nuestra familia, plantamos árboles... hasta tratamos de ser buenos, para al menos ir al cielo de nuestra religión... y todo eso es esfuerzo, sacrificio... cuesta mucho... pero es al pedo... todo en el Universo desaparece, muta, muere... por eso la melancolía no tiene tremedio... Y por eso, atenúala gozando cada instante, cada vaso de vino, cada sonrisa que te dedican, cada plato de tallarines, cada libro que lees...Eso es lo que yo sé... puedo estar equivocado... pero hasta ahora, creo saber esa verdad absoluta, porque lo absoluto existe, es lo subjetivo...Cambiando de tema, me llamo Eugenio Cilento, y mi sobrenombre, es Cilencio, silencio, con ese -s-, es cuando no se oye ningún sonido... y los besos que te envio,son virtuales, por eso con Cilenciosos.Ahí va uno, agárralo.
